LORETTA LYNN’S MIDEAST AMATEUR REGIONAL QUALIFIER

Friday practice and the the weekend races are not open to everyone.  Please read on…

1. You must first compete at 1 of the 8 MIDEAST AREA QUALIFIERS in order to enter the Regional practice and race at RedBud.  See the Qualifier Schedule HERE.
At an Area Qualifier, you must complete an MX Sports entry form and pay the qualifier fee (in addition to your registration fee) for each class you wish to qualify in.

2. You must register with MX Sports online after racing an Area Qualifier.  This is not your race registration for RedBud, it’s your entry into the Loretta’s Regional program.  You will register on site for practice and your race classes at RedBud, for additional fees.

If you race an Area Qualifier but don’t register online with MX Sports for the Regional, you’ll be an alternate at RedBud.

MX Sports Regional Registration Link

3. You will pay a gate fee, practice fee and race class fee to RedBud once you’re at the event.

The Area and Regional entry fees you pay to MX Sports are for participation in the Loretta’s program, to cover the program staff, administration, materials, etc.  None of those fees go to the racetrack.  The only fees paid to RedBud are at the front gate and registration once you’re on site.

4. There will be qualifiers in many classes at the Regional.  We’ll run 2 qualifiers and 1 LCQ for these classes, and the qualifiers count as your first moto finish.  (See Loretta’s rules for more info.)

There are 8 Area Qualifiers, and the top 9 from each are eligible to enter the Regional from each.  That’s 72 possible entries per class.

We won’t take an alternate if it would create qualifiers in a class.  However, if the guaranteed entries are already more than a full gate, we’ll accept up to 72 entries in each Regional class at RedBud.  However,

RACING AND QUALIFYING INFORMATION

  • YOU MUST RACE A MIDEAST AREA QUALIFIER IN ORDER TO ENTER THIS EVENT!
  • You must register your class(es) with MX Sports online; the entry fee is an administrative fee for participating at the Regional level.
  • Your entry fee online does not go to the track.  You must register and pay for practice and racing at the track.
  • The top 9 in each class advance from each Area Qualifier to this Regional.
  • If you didn’t finish in the top 9, OR if you didn’t register on time with MX Sports, you’ll be an alternate at the RedBud Regional.
  • Alternates are placed according to power ranking; the more riders you beat at the Area Qualifier, the higher your power ranking.  Riders who earned a qualifying position but didn’t enter with MX Sports will be the first alternates.
  • Alternates may register and practice at the track. We place alternates during practice; come to signup after practice to see if you made it in.  If you don’t get to race, your track entry fee will be refunded.
  • There will likely be qualifiers in your class!
    • 8 Area Qualifiers x 9 riders per class = 72 possible entries in each class.
    • All classes with over 40 entries will be split into 2 Qualifiers.
    • If you advance from the Qualifier, your next race will be Moto 2; if not, you can ride the LCQ (Last Chance Qualifier).
    • Either your Qualifier or LCQ finish counts as your first moto finish. See MX Sports Rules for LCQ procedures and scoring.
    • We will finish all of the first set of motos and qualifiers Saturday and go directly into LCQs.
    • If possible, we’ll start the second set of motos Saturday.  A stopping point will be determined and announced Saturday afternoon; racing will start Sunday where we left off.
